Role Description
We are looking for an entrepreneurial Growth & Partnerships Specialist to help drive local adoption, build strategic relationships, and support NeighbrHub’s early go-to-market efforts. This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys sales, marketing, community building, and partnership development — and wants to help shape an early-stage company with a meaningful mission.
The role is primarily remote, but candidates must be based in Illinois and available for occasional in-person meetings with clients, partners, or community stakeholders. Travel must be pre-approved, and eligible pre-approved expenses will be reimbursed.
This is an independent contractor opportunity with outcomes-based, equity-aligned compensation. There is no minimum duration commitment.
What You’ll Do
Drive outreach to residents, parents, youth providers, local businesses, and community organizations.
Build relationships with schools, colleges, workforce programs, city councils, HOAs, nonprofits, and civic groups.
Help secure partner meetings, community pilots, sponsorship opportunities, referrals, and local activation channels.
Support sales, demos, onboarding, follow-ups, and community presentations.
Assist with local marketing campaigns, social media content, email outreach, flyers, events, and referral programs.
Track leads, outreach activity, partner conversations, and growth results.
Share market feedback to improve NeighbrHub’s messaging, product, and growth strategy.
Help coordinate interns, ambassadors, student contributors, or junior contractors as needed.
What We’re Looking For
Based in Illinois.
Strong communication, sales, and relationship-building skills.
Experience in sales, marketing, partnerships, business development, community engagement, or customer acquisition.
Comfortable working independently in a remote, startup environment.
Organized, proactive, and reliable with strong follow-through.
Able to represent NeighbrHub professionally with parents, schools, businesses, civic leaders, and community partners.
Comfortable helping guide interns or junior contributors when applicable.
Interest in youth empowerment, local services, workforce readiness, entrepreneurship, or community development.
Nice to Have
Experience working with schools, colleges, workforce programs, municipalities, nonprofits, HOAs, chambers of commerce, or local businesses.
Experience with startups, marketplaces, community platforms, education, civic engagement, or local economic development.
Familiarity with CRM tools, spreadsheets, sales reporting, presentations, or outreach campaigns.
