Day Spring is seeking an innovative, results driven and socially conscious Marketing and Engagement Coordinator to join our organization's Development team. With guidance and support from the Director of Development, this individual will play an integral role in the creation and implementation of strategies that ensure organizational growth and sustainability.
Day Spring is a non‑profit organization dedicated to serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Marketing and Engagement Coordinator will assist with media design campaigns, social media presence, website management, donor base software maintenance, community solicitation, volunteer coordination, direct mail appeals, and special events to advance the organization’s mission and vision.
This is a fulltime hourly paid position at $20/hour.
Role Responsibilities
Community Engagement and Fundraising
Research opportunities for community engagement, donor cultivation, and other opportunities and funding sources.
Research grant opportunities and assist in monitoring reporting deadlines.
Assist with development and implementation of volunteer programming.
Enter donations and fundraising data into department database and ensure timely acknowledgment of contributions.
Organize and maintain accurate records for mailing lists and campaign evaluation.
Assist with printed materials and bulk mailing campaigns.
Participate in committee meetings and other appointments as requested.
Assist in the planning and execution of special events, including resident gatherings, cultivation events, and gala.
Marketing and Communications
Design, organize, and coordinate digital assets for an email campaign or digital marketing advertisement.
Find appropriate images for email campaigns and color‑correct pictures for digital use.
Analyze the click rate for each email campaign and determine the percentage of recipients who chose to open the email.
Effectively reach the target audience, promote the organization, and drive donor engagement through email and social media communication with guidance of the Director of Development.
Spearhead website management, including blog posts, event registration pages, and overall online representation.
Design, organize, and coordinate graphics for an email campaign, digital marketing, and website that accurately communicate the brand of Day Spring.

Requirements
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in public relations, marketing, communication, or business preferred.
A minimum of one year experience in a development or marketing role, or related internship experience.
Physical Demands
Requires some lifting to 30 pounds for fundraising events and standing/walking while attending off‑site community appearances. The job frequently requires sitting, handling objects with hands, talking, hearing, and viewing information in print and/or electronically. Able to drive to various locations in Louisville.
Work Environment
Work is normally performed in a quiet to moderate noise office environment. However, frequent off‑site activities in a variety of venues will be necessary to fulfill job duties and meet outreach requirements. May require longer workdays and varied schedules. Will need to be flexible to work nights and weekends.
