Full‑Time Photographer (NH1060-02)
The position is located at Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) – 75th Air Base Wing, Hill AFB, Layton, UT. It involves providing highly specialized still photography on‑location and in‑studio, supporting Public Affairs distribution of internal and external print, photo, news broadcast and information about Air Force events, people, and mission requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Provide specialized still photography on‑location and in studio environments.

Create and organize photographic collections for news and publicity, and manage content for Department of War websites (AFPIMS).

Support mission‑wide Air Force interests and meet Hill Air Force Base, 75 ABW, and qualified host tenants’ requirements.

Qualifications

U.S. citizenship.

Obtain and maintain a Security clearance.

Willingness to travel on military and commercial aircraft for temporary duty.

Required to carry a 24‑hour alert pager/cell phone for on‑call location photography.

Extensive experience in still photography; proficiency in lighting, posing, and special effects.

Knowledge of comprehensive photographic principles and practices sufficient to plan and photograph subjects, events, and activities.

Knowledge of specialized photographic equipment, techniques, and processes.

Knowledge of precision processing operations and electronic imaging software and systems.

Skill in operating professional digital cameras and associated equipment.

Benefits & Compensation
2026 Salary Range: $40,736–$97,087 yearly. Recruitment, relocation, retention and student‑loan incentives may be authorized.
