Digital Marketing Specialist (DMS)

with proven experience managing and optimizing digital marketing and advertising campaigns across various platforms, including HubSpot, Google Ads, Wordpress and Shopify. This role is ideal for a “full stack” technical marketer, someone who is confident and proven in their technical abilities, has experience executing and managing effective digital marketing campaigns across various platforms, is a constant learner, and enjoys collaborating across teams to drive results.

You’ll support day‑to‑day execution of marketing automation, paid advertising and media, analytics and reporting, data analysis, website content updates, optimization and SEO for AI, and building out customized automation within platforms like HubSpot, Active Campaign, Marketo and others to ensure integration with varying marketing technology platforms. Being able to work across multiple client accounts, shifting between industries and working efficiently and independently to deliver results is key. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential for success in this role.

This position will report to the Director of Marketing Services, and will collaborate with various members of the agency including strategists, account managers, and cross‑discipline marketers. This position is based in our main office in Raleigh, NC, with the expectation to be in the office at least 3+ days per week for proper collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
HubSpot / Marketing Technology / Automation

Build workflows, email sequences, forms, and landing pages within tools like HubSpot

Implement lead scoring and manage contact segmentation, experience with high level customization for client HubSpot and other marketing technology tools

Track and report on performance using HubSpot’s analytics tools

Coordinate with internal and client teams to align marketing and CRM efforts

Digital Advertising & Marketing Campaign Expertise

Build and manage digital advertising campaigns in Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, and Microsoft Ads

Write compelling ad copy, manage bidding strategies, and monitor performance

Analyze campaign data and make recommendations to improve results

Supporting execution for a range of digital marketing campaign needs such as content, A/B testing, landing page development, and being a solution‑minded marketer to test and try new things to improve our campaigns.

Wordpress & Shopify Website Experience

Make product and content updates in Shopify

Support site merchandising, basic app integrations, and promotion setup

Assist with page edits and updates in other CMS platforms as needed

SEO & Content Support

Conduct keyword research and apply on‑page SEO best practices

Optimize website content for organic search

Collaborate with strategists on content planning and implementation

Data Integration, Reporting & Analysis

Technical abilities to support our team with customization and integration of data and reporting

Monitor campaign KPIs and prepare performance reports

Translate data into insights and actionable recommendations

Present results internally and to clients in a clear and concise manner

Team Collaboration

Work closely with account managers, designers, and developers to deliver integrated marketing efforts

Communicate clearly and proactively to keep projects on trackContribute to strategy conversations and offer input on best practices

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in digital marketing, preferably within an agency environment

HubSpot experience, including email marketing, workflows, landing pages, and reporting

Hands‑on Wordpress and Shopify experience with product, content, or promotion updates

Demonstrated proficiency in Google Ads campaign management

Familiarity with SEO and website optimization techniques

Strong communication, organization, and time management skills

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
