The opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Corporate Development Analyst to join our Corporate Development team based in our Plymouth, MN office on a hybrid schedule. This position is an integral member of the Corporate Development team and provides in-depth analysis and research for the purpose of evaluating potential M&A opportunities. The Sr. Corporate Development Analyst will also manage all aspects of a transaction including due diligence and monitoring post‑acquisition integration and results. This position will also monitor the Specialty Insurance markets and provide data and reporting as needed.

Responsibilities

Provides a broad range of analytical, research, and presentation preparation support to the Corporate Development team.

Performs financial analyses, including developing and maintaining complex financial models and applying valuation tools for the purpose of evaluating M&A opportunities.

Manages several projects and tasks at once, while effectively working as part of a team.

Conducts comprehensive and in‑depth company and industry research.

Monitors and interprets daily current events relevant to the domestic and international P&C specialty insurance markets, including regularly updating or creating intelligence databases and presentation materials.

Assists in the management and execution of all aspects of a transaction process, including assessing the opportunity from both a strategic and financial perspective, conducting due diligence, reviewing deal documentation, and monitoring post‑acquisition integration and results.

Understands interrelationships between various departments, segments and systems. Works closely with other departments including claims, actuarial, product development, regulatory, state filing and IT to serve the needs of the organization.

Ability to travel when the position requires.

Expertise you bring

Bachelor’s degree or comparable related work experience required.

5-7 years of related experience in finance, accounting, actuarial science, or related discipline.

Experience in Property/ Casualty or Specialty insurance markets highly preferred.

CPCU, FCAS or CFA designation is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
Typical base salary range for this position is: $118,000 – $138,000. Additionally, full‑time employees are eligible for bonus potential and a full range of benefits. Benefits include:
