We’re hiring an Associate Creative Director / Copy to join our team of strategic creatives, for some of our biggest national clients. Our ideal candidate will have a portfolio of integrated campaigns which showcase the craft of copywriting across mediums. In this role, you’ll collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, managing different brands and workflows, and sharing your vision. This role is hybrid 3 days per week in our Chicago office.


Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the brand across all platforms
  • Craft compelling stories in collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Concept and develop creative that is relevant to the consumer at each touchpoint of their journey
  • Present work to clients with thoughtful rationale and positive energy
  • Spin industry jargon into consumer-friendly product or service copy
  • Be a stickler for detail, modeling a high standard of work in a fast-paced environment
  • Research competitive marketplace / out-of-category work to develop creative work that breaks through
  • Proofread and edit materials before client reviews
  • Provide final approval before release to production team
  • Report into Creative Leadership, keeping them informed on the progression of projects
  • Bring savvy flexibility as you function both independently and as part of a broader team
  • Manage your time and effort, right sizing the effort to the scope of the job
  • See projects through from concept to delivery, keeping key stakeholders updated on a project’s progress
  • Bring an inclusive and open mindset to all you do


Requirements

  • 7+ years of agency experience, including ~2 years at the ACD or equivalent level
  • Creative Copywriter Portfolio of integrated campaigns
  • Bachelor's degree required; portfolio school a plus
  • An expert grasp of language to create clear communication for any audience — from consumers to industry experts
  • A deep understanding of how to apply brand guidelines to ensure a strong and consistent voice at every touchpoint
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, verbal, written, on video and in-person, with clients, teammates and managers
  • Excellent interpersonal and client-relations skills, with experience leading client meetings
  • Proactive self-starter with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Individual Contributor and collaborative team player with strong problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree required; portfolio school a plus
  • Hybrid - 3 days per week in our Chicago office

The annual salary range for this role in the Chicago market is $115k-$130k in base pay, and the base pay offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis based on experience, skills, training, certifications, education, etc., and will be informed by market data.
