Managing Partner Role

The Managing Partner (MP) is the global account leader assigned to one or more Strategic Customers. The MP drives the total strategic customer engagement and is accountable for innovation adoption, driving global Software, Cloud and Services growth, end‑to‑end satisfaction, and reference‑ability of the customer(s) throughout the customer lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and coordinate SAP's efforts across all lines of business and board areas, orchestrating SAP parties around a single, clearly articulated 3 to 5 year joint innovation roadmap.
  • Shape the client’s digital transformation vision and roadmap, leading SAP's execution of that roadmap.
  • Develop a clear Account Plan and strategy in collaboration with the Market Unit and the extended Virtual Account Team (VAT).
  • Establish a jointly committed multi‑year roadmap, focusing on innovation and transformation.
  • Agree on a governance model that enables focus on strategic initiatives.
  • Orchestrate execution of the account strategy, incorporating software, cloud, services, support, partners, and channels.
  • Provide deep customer business insight; push thinking and offer new ways to compete.
  • Build long‑term C‑level relationships, manage governance models, and ensure executive sponsor engagement.
  • Lead integrated account planning and expand SAP footprint with all relevant LOBs and SI partners.
  • Proactively identify problems and propose SAP solutions.
  • Drive revenue growth across SAP LOBs, protect the customer base, and drive adoption of premium support services.
  • Lead value management and realization, integrating Value Engineering methodologies and consulting delivery.

Experience and Education Requirements

  • 10+ years of business experience in Sales or Consulting with complex business software/IT solutions.
  • 5+ years of deep industry/domain expertise.
  • 5+ years of large account management experience leading account teams.
  • Strong knowledge of the complete SAP offering (including Service and Support).
  • Several years as (Associate) Partner at a System Integrator (e.g., AC) or Business Consulting Management or Value Engineering.
  • Knowledge of financial, competitive, regulatory environment.
  • Experience with long‑term planning of resources, technology, and account structure.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Business level English: Fluent.
  • Local language: Fluent, business level.
  • Strategic thinker, high degree of creativity and innovation.
  • Education: Bachelor equivalent or higher.

Compensation

Annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target: $256,400 – $529,000 USD. Actual offer will depend on experience, skills, scope, and location. Full benefits and eligibility available per SAP North America Benefits.
