The Washington Area New Automobile Dealers Association (WANADA), headquartered in Washington, D.C., represents and supports new car dealers in the Metropolitan Washington Region, a key market in the U.S. auto industry. Comprising over 250 members, including dealers and industry partners, WANADA advocates for its members’ interests, offers training and education programs, and organizes prominent events such as The Washington Auto Show, recognized globally as "The Public Policy Show." Founded in 1917, WANADA collaborates with regional associations and other trade organizations to promote the success of its members and the automotive industry while engaging in public policy discussions.
Role Description
As a Senior Sales Director, you will oversee sales operations, drive business development, and contribute to the strategic growth of WANADA and its programs. Core responsibilities include managing the sales process, developing and executing sales strategies, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and identifying new opportunities for growth. You will also play a key role in coordinating sales activities. This is a full-time hybrid position based in the Washington DC-Baltimore area, with flexibility for some remote work.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in Sales and Sales Operations, with a successful track record in meeting and exceeding revenue goals
- Strong skills in Customer Service and maintaining long-term client relationships
- Generating new and repeat sales
- Experience in Business Development, with the ability to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment and manage responsibilities effectively both in-office and remotely
- Experience in the automotive or events industry is a plus
