Social Media & Community Specialist

$40.00 - $46.89 per hour
Monday-Friday
20 – 30 hours per week with some weekends and evenings
Columbus, Ohio, Hybrid 1 days in office
Contract through the end of July 2026
What You’ll Do:
- Lead daily community engagement across social platforms, delivering timely, brand-right interactions that build affinity and grow audience engagement
- Manage and respond to comments and messages across owned channels, fostering relationships with followers and superfans
- Identify and engage with relevant user-generated content (UGC) and trending conversations to drive brand participation in earned spaces
- Ensure all interactions reflect brand voice, tone, and cultural relevance
- Monitor and surface emerging sentiment, recurring questions, and product feedback to internal teams
- Track and analyze performance metrics (e.g., impressions, engagement, EMV) to optimize community strategies
- Partner with marketing and cross-functional teams to support campaigns and ad hoc initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 1+ years of experience in social media, community management, or digital marketing
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices (including brand voice and cultural awareness)
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone across audiences and platforms
- Analytical mindset with experience tracking performance metrics and delivering actionable insights
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proactive, self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
