About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Marketing and Growth Officer (CMGO) to join its Senior Leadership Team. The CMGO will be a key architect in the organization's next chapter, with a focus on audience development, revenue growth, and marketing strategy. This role is pivotal in driving earned revenue and visitorship, with direct responsibility for growing ticket sales, membership, retail performance, and events revenue. The ideal candidate will be a strategic partner, helping to build a culture of marketing and sales that deepens audience engagement and amplifies the company's mission. They should be energized by growth, possess a genuine passion for the company's mission, and have a deep curiosity about the evolving audience and tourism landscape.
Core responsibilities for the CMGO include developing and executing marketing strategies, identifying and cultivating target audiences, and leveraging data to build proactive outreach. The role also involves overseeing content creation, digital marketing, and leading a team to ensure consistent and compelling brand messaging. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in marketing, with at least 15 years' experience, and a strong background in digital marketing, CRM systems, and data-driven decision-making. They should be adept at change management, with the ability to bring colleagues along as the organization shifts its approach to marketing and audience engagement. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams are essential.
