Student Graphic Designer
Love design? Want real‑world experience while you’re in school? The Southern Regional Extension Forestry Office (SREF), located in the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources, is looking for a student graphic designer to join the team. In this role, you’ll work on a variety of creative projects and build hands‑on experience designing publications, websites, fact sheets, marketing materials, and more. It’s a great opportunity to grow your portfolio while supporting projects that make an impact across the southern forestry community.
Responsibilities
Design and redesign partner websites (40% of time)
Create multi‑concept diagrams, banners, and marketing materials (50% of time)
Social media posting (10% of time)
Qualifications
Proficient in InDesign and Illustrator (or in‑training)
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with partners
Strong design sense and creative problem‑solving skills
Experience with web design tools and basic HTML/CSS (preferred)
Physical Demands
Computer work; lifting printed materials.
