Summary:

As a Graphic Designer within the Center for Student Engagement and Belonging, individuals in this role will create digital signage, logos, t-shirt designs, and other materials using tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Canva. This position involves managing a caseload of 3-8+ clients at a time, communicating project updates with student organizations and departments, and contributing to weekly design critiques to collaboratively improve work. It requires strong graphic design skills, proficiency in design software, and effective communication abilities. Students will gain valuable experience in graphic design, branding, and collaboration while contributing to the vibrant and dynamic culture of student engagement at Maryville University.

Responsibilities:

Communicate project updates and deadlines with clients (e.g., student organizations and departments) in a timely and professional manner.
Attend and participate in weekly CSEB Graphic Designer committee meetings and critiques to brainstorm, improve designs, and learn new skills
Prioritize and meet deadlines for multiple cases at a time.
Handle a caseload of 3-8+ clients at a time
Create digital signage, logos, t-shirt designs, and more using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
Utilize the CSEB's graphic design workspace effectively.
Collaborate with other student designers to create visual content that supports student life initiatives.
Ability to receive and apply constructive feedback through regular performance reviews and formal evaluations to improve designs and meet professional standards
