CBS Miami is looking for a phenomenal, hardworking, and ambitious part-time Associate News Producer. You will assist producers with their newscasts on-air and on streaming. This includes writing and researching stories, formatting scripts, writing to video, selecting soundbites, and building graphics. You will also produce news cut-ins. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills and editorial judgment, be able to multitask, and be creative.
Key Responsibilities
- Write for a variety of newscasts and select the appropriate video and sound to help tell the story.
- Exhibit strong editorial judgment, effective communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Stay on top of developments in assigned stories.
- Produce daily news cut-ins.
- Uphold impeccable grammar, spelling, and attention to detail in all content produced.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid news judgment and a passion for news.
- Ability to work under deadlines.
- Knowledge of iNews is a plus.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or currently working toward degree.
