Corporate Communications Strategist
The Corporate Communications Strategist partners with internal stakeholders to create and execute high-impact, compelling communications plans that help drive engagement, support revenue goals, and enhance our customer and employee experience.
This role is crucial in creating internal and external communications that support our business goals and strengthen our brand through effective storytelling. Implements strategies to achieve the goals for the organization and communications. Implements, revises, and sustains policies, procedures and programs. Typically works on projects and initiatives that span 3 – 12 months.
Principal duties include:
Supporting the development, socialization and implementation of multi-channel, multi-audience strategic communications plans that align with Goodwill's priorities.
Delivering clear, researched, and consistent business communications on topics like company announcements, leadership communication, presentations, multimedia, scripts, key messages, and talking points.
Contributing to and helping manage the enterprise-wide corporate communications editorial calendar.
Designing and delivering corporate communication campaigns that use storytelling to strengthen the Employer Value Proposition and employees' understanding of how they contribute to Goodwill's mission.
Leading elements of media relations efforts, including cultivating relationships with media, messaging development, media training, organizing press conferences, etc. Proactively monitoring and researching the day-to-day news cycle and media landscape to identify just-in-time topics in pursuit of media coverage.
Working collaboratively with members of the Marketing team to consult and integrate communications strategies into campaigns.
Providing event support across the organization through communications delivery, managing logistics and representing the brand onsite.
Managing agency support relationships on projects as assigned.
Tracking and reporting content effectiveness metrics to stakeholders, as well as continually monitoring, analyzing and tuning messaging to maximize impact.
Planning and managing own work to reliably complete routine job responsibilities and special assignments.
Solving problems of moderate to advanced complexity; able to identify root cause, interpret data and resolve issues.
Understanding and applying professional principles and skills within area of specialization to modify processes to resolve situations.
Championing Goodwill's community engagement initiatives and serving as an ambassador for Goodwill in the wider community.
Responsible for completing other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements include:
Two years of college education or experience equivalency, and a minimum of 3 years' experience.
Proven experience working collaboratively and managing communications initiatives from conception to execution and evaluation, including reporting, for a large-scale and diverse organization.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and compelling messaging for a variety of audiences.
Proficiency with Associated Press style copy writing and editing, presentation and reporting skills.
Familiarity with utilizing a diverse array of communication channels, including digital platforms, social media, email, print, and internal communications tools, to effectively convey messages and engage targeted audiences.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite, SharePoint, digital communications and measurement systems, intranet platforms, content management systems, and related technologies.

Physical/sensory demands include:
