Job Summary
This posting is for a Federal Work Study position. To be eligible for WorkStudy positions you must maintain enrollment in at least six (6) credits at LBCC, maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout each term and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better (some positions may require a higher GPA), and have financial aid in place. This position is responsible for LB Choirs’ presence on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, and X.

Responsibilities

Post creative weekly updates pertaining to information about LB Choirs’ activities or other ways to engage our audience.

Connect to other organizations via social media.

Collaborate with Advancement-Marketing and Raymund for content.

Engage social media followers.

Find new and creative ways to get LB Choirs’ message out through social media.

Execute marketing plan in collaboration with LBCC Advancement.

Grow follower base each term.

Post content on YouTube, SoundCloud and other a/v media services.

Ensure that content posted follows copyright laws.

Check with Raymund as to what pieces to post.

Find creative ways to use a/v/ social media to get LB Choirs’ message out.

Attend weekly 10‑minute stand‑up meetings (Mondays at 2:50pm).

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience: Must maintain enrollment in at least 6 credits at LBCC, maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout each term and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better (some positions may require a higher GPA), and have financial aid in place to be eligible to work in a Work Study student employee capacity at Linn‑Benton Community College.

Knowledge and Skills

Must have social media experience, either personal or professional.

Must be a “self‑starter”.

Must be able to work with others collaboratively.

Must have experience with digital a/v sites.

Must have video/sound editing experience.
