About the role
We are seeking a highly analytical and results‑driven Amazon Category Specialist to own the growth, profitability, and overall performance of assigned product categories on Amazon. This role requires hands‑on experience across listing optimization, ranking, retail media, pricing strategy, and cross‑functional coordination to drive sustainable revenue and margin growth.

What you’ll do

Own category performance including revenue, profitability, and key KPIs

Build and execute quarterly and annual category growth plans

Optimize product detail pages (titles, descriptions, images, A+ content, and storefront) to improve conversion rates

Conduct keyword research and manage backend search terms to improve organic ranking

Monitor search rankings, BSR trends, and category performance metrics

Partner with advertising teams to plan, launch, and optimize Sponsored Ads campaigns (SP, SB, SD)

Develop and execute pricing and promotional strategies to remain competitive while protecting margins

Track competitor activity including pricing, content, and review trends

Manage catalog health including resolving listing suppressions, fixing defects, and maintaining variation families

Improve ratings and reviews through compliant strategies such as Amazon Vine and review request programs

Coordinate with supply chain teams to manage inventory levels, prevent stockouts, and protect ranking performance

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including marketing, product, and operations to ensure aligned execution

Analyze data from Amazon tools (Business Reports, Brand Analytics, Search Term reports) and translate insights into actions

Deliver regular performance reports including KPIs, experiments, insights, and recommendations

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in Amazon marketplace management, e‑commerce growth, or category management

Hands‑on experience with Seller Central, Brand Registry, and Amazon Ads platforms

Strong understanding of PDP optimization, SEO, and conversion rate improvement

Experience managing multiple SKUs or categories at scale

Proven ability to drive revenue growth and improve profitability

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel or similar tools

Experience with keyword research and rank tracking tools

Familiarity with Amazon analytics including Business Reports and Brand Analytics

Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Additional Requirements

Availability to work between 8 AM to 5 PM Pacific Time
