Position Overview
The Business Development Manager leads the identification, evaluation, and development of new business opportunities that support GLSS's strategic goals, revenue diversification, and operational expansion.
Position Responsibilities
The Business Development Manager role focuses on sourcing partnerships, developing shared services opportunities, and cultivating customer relationships with community organizations, municipalities, health systems, other non-profits and potential fee-for-service clients. This position works closely with the CEO, CFO, and Senior leadership team to translate GLSS's strengths into scalable service offerings, with a particular emphasis on developing new shared-service lines, supporting relationship management, and assisting with outreach and inreach efforts across internal teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
5+ years of experience in business development, partnership management, nonprofit operations, or related roles.
Specific experience having developed and executed strategies to enter new markets and increase market visibility and presence.
Strong analytical abilities with comfort working with financial models, business cases and market analysis.
Strong negotiation, networking, communication, and strategic planning skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to lead presentations and represent GLSS professionally.
Relationshipbuilder with a customercentric mindset.
Knowledge of human services, elder services, social services, or healthcare strongly preferred.
Project management experience a plus.
