University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB (UEC) supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. UEC manages campus business enterprises including dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services and serves as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects. This is not a state position.
Position Summary
Temporary, MPP Exempt, Full Time, Benefited position through 6/30/2026. Appointment may be renewed annually based on availability of funds, work and satisfactory performance.
Salary
$8,166.66 to $10,000.00 per month.
Location
CSUSB Campus. Position requires travel and work at times in various locations, campuses, schools, and districts throughout California.
Work Schedule
Exempt. 40+ hours per week. Typically Monday-Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Some nights and weekend work may be required.
Typical Activities
TCAP’s Executive Director serves as the executive director of the Statewide Office and the TCAP network regional sites. As chief executive, leads the organization in the context of the CSMP and TCAP mission, model, and program design, representing the statewide network to the CSMP collaborative, executive directors from the eight other CSMP networks, the UC Office of the President, and CSMP Concurrence Committee.
Roles include representing TCAP, CSMP, and the University to schools, districts, agencies, museums, and post‑secondary institutions; engaging the network in evaluating scholarship; informing curriculum development; and coordinating professional learning & training for TK‑12 educators and university scholars to increase student achievement in the arts.
Major Responsibilities
- Build and sustain institutional support across segments.
- Consult with host institution faculty and campus leadership.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration across departments and external agencies.
- Secure program supports and coordinate with collaborating agencies.
- Oversee program evaluation: establish monitoring, ensure quality professional learning, conduct research, and disseminate reports.
- Convene and maintain relationships with the TCAP Advisory Board.
- Provide direction to site directors: hire, evaluate performance, advise on restructuring, and ensure compliance with project agreements and budget.
- Develop financial resources: secure extramural funding, manage SO budget, distribute funds to regional sites.
- Collaborate with CSMP leaders on professional learning initiatives, resource access, and cross‑project collaboration.
- Lead staff recruitment, supervision, and performance reviews at the TCAP Statewide Office.
Education & Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications
- Education
- Four‑year degree in an arts discipline (dance, music, theatre, or visual arts).
- Master’s degree or postgraduate degree (PhD or EdD) in education or an arts discipline (MFA or PhD).
- Experience
- Experience with The California Arts Project.
- Leadership in developing professional learning in the arts for TK‑12 or university educators, in person and virtually.
- Experience teaching or administration in TK‑12 or university settings.
- Experience developing and implementing online professional learning, marketing, communications, reporting and data.
- Experience preparing reports, communications, and evaluations.
- Experience supervising staff.
- Experience in fiscal oversight, grant writing, and budget management.
- Experience building and maintaining a web presence.

- Knowledge of the CA Arts Education Framework and Arts Standards.
- Knowledge of CA Career Technical Educational Pathways related to the arts.
- Knowledge of CA Education Code related to arts education.
- Knowledge of California credentials to teach arts in the school setting.
- Knowledge of assessment of student learning in the arts.
- Knowledge of the four California arts education organizations.
- Strong written, verbal, and non‑verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills with Apple and Microsoft Office, and design software.
- Leadership, interpersonal, teamwork, problem‑solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Preferred Qualifications
- CA Administrative Credential.
- Experience with leading strategic planning.
- Special Requirements
- California Teaching Credential.
- Knowledge of California’s educational context and school/district variety.
- Knowledge of the California Arts and Music in Our Schools Act.
- Knowledge of UC “F” and CSU “F” requirements.
Travel Requirements
Required travel across California for meetings, program visits, and engagement with California Subject Matter Projects.
