University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB (UEC) supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. UEC manages campus business enterprises including dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services, and serves as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.
Position Summary
Temporary, MPP Exempt, Full Time, Benefited position through 6/30/2026 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).
Salary
$8,166.66 to $10,000.00 per month.
Location
CSUSB Campus. Position requires travel and work at times in various locations, campuses, schools and districts throughout California.
Work Schedule
Exempt. 40+ hours per week. Schedule to be arranged, but typically, Monday-Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM. Some nights and weekend work may be required.

Typical Activities
Summary of TCAP Executive Director’s Role: The TCAP Executive Director serves as the chief executive of the Statewide Office and the TCAP network regional sites. The role includes leading the organization in alignment with the CSMP and TCAP mission and program design, representing the statewide network to CSMP collaborators, and providing resources for public schools and university scholars dedicated to improving student learning and literacy in the arts. The Director facilitates continuous review and evaluation of scholarship, informs curriculum development, and supports the coordination of professional learning programs for teachers across the state.
TCAP Executive Director’s Major Responsibilities
- Institutional Support: Consult with host institution faculty and campus leadership; facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration; secure support from collaborating agencies.
- Program Evaluation: Establish continuous monitoring; ensure high-quality professional learning activities; conduct research and share results with stakeholders.
- Board Collaboration: Convene the TCAP Advisory Board; maintain relationships with industry and professional organizations; solicit input to maximize project impact.
- Site Direction: Hire and evaluate site directors; manage site operations; ensure compliance with project agreements and policies.
- Resource Development: Secure funding; build capacity for resource development; manage the State Office budget and distribute funds to regional sites; meet accountability deadlines.
- Strategic Collaboration: Expand access to professional learning; guide cross-project collaboration; advise on challenges faced by the network; support compliance with reporting requirements.
- Administrative Leadership: Lead recruitment; supervise all State Office staff; conduct performance reviews and apply UEC procedures.
Travel Requirements
Travel is required across California for meetings, programs, site visits, and coordination with the CSMP and other stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Four‑year degree in an arts discipline (Dance, Music, Theatre, or Visual Arts). Master’s or postgraduate degree (PhD, EdD, MFA) in education or an arts discipline.
- Experience: Leading and developing professional learning in the arts for TK‑12 or university educators (in person and virtually); experience in teaching and administration; online program development, marketing, communication, reporting, and data management; supervisory and fiscal oversight; grant writing; web presence management.
- Knowledge: CA Arts Education Framework, Arts Standards, CA Career Technical Educational Pathways, CA Education Code, California arts credentials, student learning assessment, and four California arts education organizations.
- Strong written, verbal, non‑verbal communication; leadership and interpersonal skills; computer proficiency with Apple and Microsoft Office, design software.
Preferred Qualifications
- CA Administrative Credential.
- Experience with leading strategic planning.
Special Requirements
- California Teaching Credential.
- Knowledge of California’s educational context and variety of schools and districts.
- Knowledge of the Arts and Music in Our Schools Act and the UC/CSU “F” requirement.
