Executive Account Manager
Position Summary: The Executive Account Manager plays many critical roles that ensure efficient workflows are in place to achieve timely outcomes and deliverables of the highest quality and standard. This position is responsible for building relationships with key campus clients and working with division colleagues to set checkpoints, allocate resources, develop, and execute integrated marketing and communications plans that achieve UGA’s mission and strategic goals. The Executive Account Manager serves as the manager for all major accounts, including the Office of the President, the Office of the Provost, and the Division of Development and Alumni Relations.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 2 years of professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
Proficiency in project management systems, such as Asana
Proficiency in Microsoft 365
Familiarity with Associated Press style
Strong understanding of marketing and communications practices
Familiarity with higher education
Key Responsibilities
Executive Account Management (40%)
Manage the life cycle of executive account projects from kick‑off to debrief, ensuring deadlines and milestones are achieved.
Lead or attend meetings, produce project plans, calendars, proposals, presentations, schedules, status reports, and final reports for each project/campaign.
Serve as lead consultant for assigned executive‑level clients; translate objectives into actionable marketing and communications strategies aligned with UGA’s brand and institutional goals.
Collaborate with strategic initiatives team and/or leadership to set agendas that establish effective and efficient use of time and resources to support institutional priorities.
Ensure regular reporting of outcomes to supervisor for the purpose of analytics and strategic planning.
Develop annual account plans, campaign roadmaps, and success measures; align scopes with available resources.
Project Management (40%)
Attend weekly editorial, production and content planning meetings to further understanding of all division workload and bandwidth.
Develop creative briefs to support goal setting and manage scope of executive projects.
Participate in internal reviews of assets prior to sharing/presenting.
Manage approval processes with partners and stakeholders external to the division.
Strategic Initiatives Support (15%)
Serve on cross‑university committees that support executive initiatives.
Confidently communicate and collaborate with campus communicators, consultants, and senior administrators.
Assist division leadership with projects and initiatives as needed.
Contribute to department teams and committees and participate on UGA teams and projects as needed.
Other Duties (5%)
Other duties as assigned.
