ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (MARKETING) (PART TIME)
Location:
University of Wisconsin, 521 East Avenue North, La Crosse, WI 54601.
Pay Range:
$20.00 per hour to $24.00 per hour.
Job Summary:
Provide administrative support for food service programs while creating engaging content across social media platforms. Support operational tasks such as staffing, records management, and customer communication.
Responsibilities
Answer telephones and direct inquiries in a professional and client‑centric manner.
Assist with staffing, including sourcing staff when employees call out on short notice.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of students eligible for free and reduced‑priced lunches.
Develop and execute engaging content across social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.).
Ensure brand consistency across all platforms in alignment with Chartwells and university standards.
Manage day‑to‑day social media calendars, scheduling, and posting.
Assist in developing innovative campaigns that drive traffic and increase participation.
Attend in‑service and/or safety meetings as required.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and perform job functions safely.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1 to 3 years of portfolio‑building and hands‑on experience in content creation, storytelling, photography, videography, and graphic design.
Proficiency with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Experience managing social media accounts and creating content calendars.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with campus partners and student organizations.
