Part‑time position with a maximum of 1,508 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays, leave, or benefits.
Job Description

This part‑time Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating branded prints and digital design materials. The position will involve collaboration with a team of senior graphic designers, web designers, video producers, and public relations and marketing professionals to ensure understanding and execution of design needs and requirements. The ideal candidate is an exceptionally creative communicator with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, good observation skills, keen attention to detail, proven problem‑solving ability, flexibility, open‑mindedness, willingness to adapt to changing priorities, and ability to manage multiple demands while enjoying learning and continually seeking new ways to grow personally and professionally.
Essential Duties

Use and stay up to date on Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite programs
Receive art direction and feedback on design projects and photography and make edits accordingly
Maintain brand identity and consistent visual messaging across all communications and marketing channels, including digital and print
Use County‑provided project management programs to organize, plan, and prioritize work to meet the demands of clients, managers, and peers
Use images, text, and color to transform statistical data into visual graphics such as charts, graphs, diagrams, and infographics
Manage procurement, organization, and storage of files, including photos, logos, graphic design files, and other brand assets
Consult and communicate regularly with print vendors, prepare artwork for press, and provide specifications to ensure proper execution of print jobs
Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships across all levels of the organization
Pitch new design ideas that further the organization’s branding efforts
Shoot and edit photos to meet brand standards (training will be provided)
Perform other duties of a similar nature or level
Public Speaking Duties

Explain job duties to youth and adults during outreach programming (2–3 times per year)
Other Job Requirements/Information

This job may require on‑call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays
Hourly Rate

The hourly rate is $23.00 an hour
Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree in graphic design, art, branding, marketing, or communications AND
One year of graphic design, fine art, branding, art direction, or related experience
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered
