The Round Lake Area Public Library is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer who will support the library's visual identity and marketing efforts. The ideal candidate is a strong visual communicator with the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and create engaging print and digital materials that connect with our diverse community.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field or equivalent experience
Portfolio demonstrating strong design skills and creative work
Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
Experience creating print and digital marketing materials
Knowledge of basic design principles (layout, typography, color)
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Canva
Photography and/or basic video editing experience
Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems (e.g., WordPress)
Experience in a public library or public service environment
Hours
19 hours per week, including evening and weekend hours. Schedule subject to change.
