WBAL-TV, the NBC affiliate in Baltimore, Maryland, is looking for a well‑rounded Digital Content Editor who will create content for our station's website, mobile products, and social media platforms. The salary range for this position is $42,000 – $46,000. You will report to the Digital Content Manager.

Responsibilities
Write, edit, and publish breaking news, daily news, sports, weather, and feature stories for the station's website, mobile and social media platforms.
Work with reporters and assignment editors to ensure content is posted quickly and accurately.
Collaborate with producers, assignment editors and managers to cross‑promote content across all platforms.
Manage livestreams of newscasts, breaking news and special events.
Contribute ideas to grow the station's digital platforms.
Participate in coverage of special station events (e.g. Preakness, Baltimore Marathon).

Requirements
Previous digital editing and writing experience.
Professional experience with non‑linear video‑editing software (Adobe Premiere or equivalent).
Demonstrated sound news and editorial judgment.
Adherence to AP Style writing.
Basic knowledge of Photoshop and photo editing.
Experience with social media best practices.
Flexibility to work different shifts, holidays on short notice to cover a 24‑hour news cycle.
Work well in an environment with frequent interruptions while paying close attention to details.
Related military experience will be considered.
