An international law firm with offices across the U.S., Europe, and Asia is seeking three Business Development (BD) Industry Specialists to support its Marketing Department. Each role will focus on one of the following paired industry sectors: Life Sciences & Defense/National Security; Consumer Products & Technology/Media; or Financial Services & Energy. Positions are based in New York or Washington, DC, and report to the Director of Business Development for the relevant industries.
BD Industry Specialists work closely with industry group leaders, partners, and BD teams to enhance the firm's visibility and strengthen client relationships. Core responsibilities include supporting marketing and business development initiatives; developing deep industry knowledge; executing and tracking industry business plans; evaluating conference and sponsorship opportunities; coordinating events; assisting with cross-practice proposals; preparing submissions to Chambers, The Legal 500, and similar publications; developing branding campaigns; and maintaining industry-focused marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, bios, experience lists, and web content. Specialists also oversee newsletters and mentor junior staff.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree, at least three years of relevant marketing or BD experience (preferably in professional services), strong communication and project-management skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and familiarity with marketing databases. Salary ranges from $82,000 to $110,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants must submit a resume, cover letter, and writing sample.
