Basic Function
The Search Engine and Answer Engine Optimization (SEO/AEO) Specialist leads both the strategic direction and hands-on execution of modern organic search initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and implementing integrated SEO and Answer Engine Optimization systems that increase client visibility across traditional search engines and emerging AI-driven platforms. The specialist designs and executes strategies that strengthen client authority, improve discoverability in environments such as Google AI Overviews/Mode, ChatGPT, and Perplexity, and ensure content performs effectively for both users and algorithms. This role requires strong technical expertise, content leadership, AI fluency, and process development skills to build scalable search frameworks that drive measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute customized SEO and AEO strategies aligned with each client’s goals, industry, and audience using data from Google Search Console, Google Analytics, keyword research tools, and LLM SaaS platforms.
Create, optimize, and structure blog posts, landing pages, thought leadership, academic program pages, and other strategic content to improve search rankings and AI-driven citations.
Optimize existing webpages, multimedia assets (images and videos), and Google Business Profiles to enhance visibility across search and answer engines.
Conduct technical SEO audits, identify site health issues, and partner with developers or internal teams to prioritize and implement improvements.
Build scalable SEO/AEO workflows, templates, and SOPs that strengthen client authority and create repeatable systems.
Develop and maintain Google Looker Studio dashboards, analyze performance data, and present strategic insights and recommendations to clients.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in English, Writing, Marketing, or a related field
2-4 years of experience in professional writing and SEO content development
Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Looker Studio
Experience with WordPress or Drupal preferred
