Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill two part time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) student graphic designer positions for Oregon State University Ecampus.
This position will create illustrations, graphics, and animations for web-based delivery used in online courses at Oregon State University. The student graphic designer will work closely with various members of the Ecampus Course Development and Training Unit to assist with the process of building online courses and ongoing course maintenance through a variety of tasks.
Student graphic designers report to the Assistant Director of Course Development and Training. OSU Ecampus is a unit within the Division of Educational Ventures, which is comprised of Ecampus (online education), the Ecampus Research Unit, Open Educational Resources, Corporate and Workforce Education, and the Alternative Credentials Unit. It is a fast-growing, entrepreneurial organization with a commitment to providing access to Oregon State University's programs of excellence.
The position is based on OSU's Corvallis campus.

Position Duties
Design and produce illustrations, graphics and animations for Ecampus courses in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and/or After Effects.

Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered "full-time" by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the
Office of International Services
(OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
Additional Required Qualifications
Skilled in illustration
Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, or After Effects
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent computer skills, which augment and support the effort and duties of the position
Skilled in various graphics software
