Position Specific Summary - Job Duties:
Social Mission Alliance
Social media support: development of visual assets for social media, curation of short video clips. Suggest new strategies to increase engagement across LinkedIn and Instagram.
Resource library maintenance: help maintain the SMA digital social mission resource library by finding new research to add.
Newsletters: alongside SMA communications team and SMA advocacy lead, add content to email marketing software and design to best engage audiences.
General administrative and programmatic support of the SMA Communications Lead and SMA Director.
Residency Fellowship in Health Policy:
Website updates and maintenance
LinkedIn management and growth strategy
Light social media strategy with occasional posting to promote program milestones
Design of event materials (flyers, one-pagers, recruitment content)
Ensuring consistent branding across platforms
Performing other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Standard Position Description - The student will manage and/or design marketing and communication strategies and content for departments and/or special events. Tasks may include: Planning, creating, managing and executing marketing plans and campaigns, website resources, digital content and design, and/or managing of social media accounts. While completing work with a high degree of discretion, the student will work within organization marketing standards and guidelines. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental needs.

Required Qualifications - Previous skills, training, or experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications - GW student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in public health, public administration, health policy, or related field.
