Senior Ad Tech Developer

Seeking an accomplished and passionate Senior Ad Tech Developer to join our existing team, contributing to the development of next-generation web apps and platforms using cutting-edge technologies.

In this role, we will expect you to:

Develop, test, and release new revenue-supporting initiatives in a timely fashion.

Demonstrate keen attention to detail and quality, reflecting our high standards.

Be a strong team player who can rapidly and productively adapt to changing business and customer demands.

Work with developers, designers, testers, and product managers to develop and refine new features consistent with our product roadmap.

Learn and absorb new technologies and techniques quickly.

Be innovative: contributing ideas and working with constituents to evaluate and propose approaches that balance speed-to-market with what's needed to sustainably scale our services to an enormous audience.

Maintain awareness of new technologies and industry developments that will affect either our users' behavior or our ability to deliver value.

Perform other essential tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 6+ years of experience as a software engineer focusing on advertising technology

Deep understanding of advertising technology and its ecosystem

Expertise in the following areas:

HTML, CSS, JavaScript

Responsive / Adaptive Web Design

Website accessibility, website performance analysis, and improvement

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience

Familiarity with AI-driven software development

Comfortable working in Linux environments.

Have used source control (GitHub/GitLab) to manage source code

Experience with continuous integration tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins

Strong debugging skills with the ability to work with peers to solve complex problems

Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, practices, and procedures, with an emphasis on Agile methodologies (XP or Scrum).

Able to work both independently and in a team environment.

Able to solve critical issues & work well in time-critical situations, with occasional availability after hours for emergency troubleshooting

Preferred Skills:

Experience with database technologies: MySQL, MongoDB, Postgres, NoSQL, etc.

Experience with CDNs like Akamai or Fastly

Experience with Google Cloud Platform

Strong working knowledge of one or more ad delivery platforms

Rich Media Vendor experience

Prior experience in the publishing industry

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $100,000 and $120,000. Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications, and experience. Note: variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and may be applicable based on the role.
