Our organization partners with companies to source qualified talent for open roles. What you will do
In this role you will be responsible for representing TEPEZZA to physicians and health care professionals, establishing product sales, and performing total territory account management. The Specialty Account Manager (SAM) provides account management support to accounts within a specific geography, focusing on issues relevant to designated accounts. The SAM acts as central account manager, driving product demand and coordinating field teams to address account needs.
Responsibilities
Develops a comprehensive territory business plan aimed at achieving and exceeding annual sales goals.
Promotes TEPEZZA in a compliant, ethical manner consistent with industry guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Addresses access, pull-through, and reimbursement issues by coordinating with key stakeholders and matrix team members.
Develops strong customer relationships by understanding customer needs and communicating them to the team.
Consistently meets or exceeds corporate sales goals.
Communicates territory activity accurately and timely as directed by management.
Drives product demand through education on disease state and product information.
Provides feedback to sales and leadership about changes in the environment and results.
Adheres to company compliance policies and guidelines, including the PhRMA code.
Collaborates with patient services and market access teams to achieve business goals.
Coordinates between accounts and Amgen field teams to support a full range of account needs.
Educates healthcare professionals and office staff on site-of-care options.
Attends medical congresses and society meetings as needed.
Manages efforts within assigned promotional and operational budgets.
Maximizes use of approved resources to achieve territory and account goals.
Completes all company training classes and administrative duties accurately and timely.
Functions as a contributing member of a high-performance team and performs other tasks as requested by the Company.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications (Account Manager – Level 4)
Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or hospital sales
OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience within those industries
OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience within those industries
Basic Qualifications (Specialty Account Manager – Level 5)
Doctorate degree with 2 years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience
OR Master’s degree with 6 years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience
OR Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience
OR Associate degree with 10 years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience
Preferred Qualifications
Buy-and-bill experience with documented success and/or biologic/infusion experience strongly preferred.
Sales experience in Endocrinology, Ophthalmology, and/or rare/specialty diseases preferred.
Site of care and reimbursement experience strongly preferred.
Experience working with institutions and integrated delivery networks preferred.
Pharma account management selling experience essential; ability to coordinate across field teams to address account needs.
Approximately 80% travel (may vary by territory), including some overnight and weekend commitments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; professional, proactive demeanor; strong interpersonal and communication skills.

The expected annual salary range in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is: Account Manager – Level 4: $154,736 - $183,900; Specialty Account Manager – Level 5: $160,000 - $190,000.
