Specialty Account Manager – TEPEZZA
This on‑site role represents TEPEZZA to physicians and health‑care professionals, establishes product sales, and provides full territory account management.
Responsibilities Develop a comprehensive territory business plan to achieve and exceed annual sales goals.
Promote TEPEZZA within approved labeling in a fair, ethical manner, compliant with industry and corporate regulations.
Address access, pull‑through, and reimbursement issues by coordinating with stakeholders and matrix teams.
Build strong customer relationships and communicate customer needs to team members.
Consistently meet or exceed corporate sales goals.
Provide accurate, timely territory activity updates to management.
Drive product demand through education on disease state and product information.
Provide feedback to leadership and internal departments on market changes and results.
Adhere to company compliance policies, including PhRMA code.
Collaborate with patient services and market access teams to achieve business goals.
Coordinate between accounts and Amgen field teams to support account needs.
Educate healthcare professionals and office staff on site‑of‑care options.
Attend medical congresses and society meetings as required.
Manage promotional and operational budget within assigned limits.
Maximize use of approved resources to achieve territory and account goals.
Complete all company training classes.
Perform accurate and timely administrative duties.
Act as a contributing member of a high‑performance team.
Execute additional tasks and responsibilities as requested by the company.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or hospital sales.
Or associate degree and 6 years of sales experience.
Or high school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience.
For Level 5: Doctorate with 2 years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience, or Master’s with 6 years, or Bachelor's with 8 years, or Associate degree with 10 years.
Preferred Qualifications Buy‑and‑bill or biologic/infusion experience with documented success.
Experience in Endocrinology, Ophthalmology, or rare/specialty disease states.
Site‑of‑care and reimbursement experience, especially with institutions and integrated delivery networks.
Strong ability to coordinate across field teams for comprehensive account support.
Approximately 80% travel, including overnight and weekend commitments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Professional, proactive demeanor and strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits Annual base salary range: $154,736 – $183,900 for Account Manager; $160,397 – $190,628 for Specialty Account Manager.
