The Office of Public Affairs is seeking a Photographer in the Digital Innovation and Design (DID) Group. As a Photographer, you will produce high-quality, compelling, and impactful visual records of SEC events, staff/team portraits, leadership engagements, and public activities.

Duties
Help
In this role as a Photographer, you will be responsible for:
Capturing high quality photos of SEC events, staff headshots, team photos, leadership engagements, and public activities, including assignments requiring travel.
Editing and organizing images in line with DID's visual and records management standards.
Delivering rapid turnaround photo assets to meet time sensitive projects.
Coordinating visual coverage to support same day and rapid turn communications needs.
Monitoring industry trends and advising SEC on the latest hardware, software, and technology to keep production capabilities current and efficient.
Providing creative guidance on visual storytelling for digital, web, and multimedia products.

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
SK- 13 :
Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the
GS/SK-12 level . Specialized experience includes:
1) Operating photography equipment including cameras and lighting;
AND
2) Utilizing editing tools such as Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop;
AND
3) Capturing live events, including candid moments, posed photos, and subject coverage;
AND
4) Working cross-team or with clients to execute and deliver content.

Total salary (base pay + locality) is dependent upon duty location. The overall salary range listed above is provided for informational purposes; a selectee's initial pay will be established below the maximum rate of the range.
