The Office of Public Affairs is seeking a Photographer in the Digital Innovation and Design (DID) Group. As a Photographer, you will produce high-quality, compelling, and impactful visual records of SEC events, staff/team portraits, leadership engagements, and public activities.

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
Minimum Qualification Requirement
SK‑13:
Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK‑12 level.
Specialized experience includes:
Operating photography equipment including cameras and lighting;
Utilizing editing tools such as Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop;
Capturing live events, including candid moments, posed photos, and subject coverage;
Working cross‑team or with clients to execute and deliver content.

Communications Strategy Design – Creates and implements comprehensive and effective communication strategies and tactics for the organization.
Creativity and Innovation – Ability to imagine or conceive something new and original, and balances the creative idea against the status quo, to recommend which creative ideas to fully develop.
Technical Expertise in Photography – Applies knowledge of camera operation, lighting, composition along with expertise in editing to produce high-quality images.
