Fourth Floor is hiring: Production Artist in New York

Our client, a fast-growing apparel company, is looking for a Production Artist to join their team in NYC!

Responsibilities

Prepare production-ready artwork for graphics, prints, and trims, ensuring accuracy for factory use

Develop detailed specifications for hangtags, labels, and related packaging components

Collaborate closely with the design team to align bill of materials (BOMs) and graphic elements

Partner with production to review strike-offs, provide feedback, and revise artwork as needed

Manage individual workload and timelines to consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Participate in cross-functional meetings to support communication across teams

Create and maintain seasonal color palettes and presentation materials

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field

2–3 years of experience in the fashion industry; background in children’s apparel is a plus

Understanding of textile repeats, fabric types, and production techniques is preferred

Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple deadlines

Strong visual sensibility with a keen eye for color, detail, and overall design quality
