What You Do
Thought Leadership
Understands the client industry niches served, recognizes typical business problems, and how our service platform provides solutions across disciplines.
Maintains proactive awareness of industry changes in insurance, the economy, and legislation and their impact on clients.
Represents MMA Midwest in client and insurance industry through writing, speaking, and networking engagements.
Advocates for changes and additions to our service platform that increase client value and align with our strategic direction.
Create and Cultivate Relationships
Relates well to people at all levels; builds rapport and constructive relationships with diplomacy and tact; can diffuse high-tension situations.
Negotiates skillfully with internal and external groups; gains trust quickly and can be both direct and diplomatic.
Build a Client Base
Uses the MMA Midwest sales process to analyze client exposures and opportunities for improvement; creates a compelling case to win decisions.
Creates presentations that demonstrate our approach, track record, and customized service plans for clients; effective in various formal settings.
Understands each client\'s decision process, stakeholders, goals, and requirements; identifies risks and acts to retain.
Closes new business and renewals with a methodical approach; uncovers opportunities to add new products and cross-sell.
Execute Client Service Platform
Understands client business drivers, metrics, issues, and industry factors; uses rigorous logic to solve problems and deliver value.
Analyzes coverage, program financials, claims, and loss rates to identify improvement opportunities; proposes measurable service plans.
Engages cross-functional teams to deliver specialized analysis and services; monitors results and plan execution.
Leads the execution of client plans and ensures commitments are tracked and reported back to clients.
Understands insurance marketplace, carrier appetites, programs, and services; oversees placement within own discipline.
Monitors client satisfaction through relationships, team involvement, and feedback processes.
Support an Effective Team
Creates a collaborative climate; motivates team members; invites input and shares ownership; recognizes good work.
Conducts regular meetings with the client service team to keep everyone aligned on issues and service plans.
Supports processes and procedures and participates in team, sales, and other meetings.
Mentors team members and new producers on roles and career development.
Recruits potential employee candidates for MMA Midwest.
Leverages technology and resources to maximize efficiency; conducts business planning to set goals and measure results.
Maintains appropriate closing ratios and efficiencies aligned with team expectations.
Your Education and Experience
Required
Upon hire, Producers License (in state of residence) for Fire/Casualty or Life/Health as appropriate
Proven track record for accomplishing specific tasks
Preferred
Proven success in Account Executive or client-facing position
CPCU, CEBS, ARM or other professional designation
The employee is responsible for adherence to the stated expectations of the E&O Plus Quality Management Program

The applicable base salary range for this role is $92,400 to $172,100. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives. We are excited to offer a competitive total rewards package including health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401K savings, and other retirement programs.
