Schedule:

12‑hr Night Shift (2‑2‑3 schedule), 6pm-6:30am

Pay:

$24.50 per hour + $1.00 shift differential

Position Overview
The Chemical Mixing Operator (Production Operator) reports to the Production Manager/Supervisor. The job holder has the responsibility to operate the equipment and all of its affiliated processes (preparing raw materials & packaging, unloading, packing & labeling), in compliance with legal and company rules.

Primary Responsibilities

Preparation of raw materials and packaging: identifying & preparing the right quantities and transporting them to the appropriate production area, reporting any deviation from normal, noting start and finish of process.

Operating processing equipment in line with process instructions and procedures.

Monitoring equipment to keep processes running at desired run rates.

Completing the initial testing and release of products to ensure that there are no deviations to specifications.

Checking labels & packaging material to ensure correct labeling following existing rules and instructions.

Packaging the final products in accordance with instructions and HBF quality standards.

Carrying out all operations in compliance with the expected Quality Standards and Operating procedures of HBF and respecting all legal and company EHS rules.

Being responsible for housekeeping in the area of responsibility.

Carrying out any other duties requested from the Production Manager/Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

Basic educational degree or high school diploma or general education diploma.

Knowledge of common software programs (MS Office).

Ability to read and understand work orders, production processes, safety regulations and quality procedures and instructions.

Availability to work in shifts.

Preferred Requirements

Experience with mixing, reading batch tickets, and working with raw materials.

Understanding of basic English.

1 year experience in an industrial environment.

Physical Environment

Required to stand for long periods of time.

Walk and climb stairs.

Use hands to remove or lift boxes.

Stretch and reach with arms extended.

Stoop and bend.

Regularly lift up to 55 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Temperature, dust, smell and noise are under normal chemical environment conditions.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location. The salary for this role is $24.50/hr.
