Marketing Manager (Aviation Administration Division)
The Broward County Aviation Department , which manages the Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and North Perry Airport (HWO), is seeking a motivated and experienced professional to support marketing and branding efforts for both airports.

Position Overview
The Marketing Manager will report to the Public Information Officer (PIO) and work closely with the BCAD Communications team. Responsibilities include creating content for newsletters, fact sheets, website, annual reports, award submissions, and social media; managing the website for FLL and HWO; collaborating on branding strategy and campaigns; and contributing to the Master Plan for FLL.
Responsibilities
Review and finalize content for social media postings and all publications.
Collaborate with the Communications team and advertising consultants to devise branding strategy and campaigns for FLL and HWO.
Write stories and content for newsletters, fact sheets, website, annual report, award submissions, etc.
Manage website content for FLL and HWO and ensure accurate information on external industry websites.
Communicate with airport stakeholders and media outlets regarding airport events and emergencies.
Create and post original content, monitor engagement, and respond on social media platforms such as X, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Assist with processing and approval of film permits, including scouting and filming activity, as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with major coursework in marketing, business administration, public relations, or a closely related field. Preferred: degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or Communications.
Experience : Four (4) years of experience in marketing, advertising, special events coordination, public relations, or a related field.
Special Certifications and Licenses :
Public Relations Society of America (APR) Certification
FEMA Advanced Level PIO training
Advanced Marketing training or certification
Valid Florida Class E Driver’s License (based on assignment area)
Preferences :
Master’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or Journalism
Bilingual skills in Spanish, French or Portuguese
1+ years proven AP writing style experience and strong storytelling skills across formats (news releases, speeches, newsletters, ad campaigns, etc.)
1+ years professional social media original content creation and posting experience
1+ years demonstrated crisis communications or reputation management experience in aviation or tourism
All candidates must complete an extensive ten (10) year work history verification and criminal background check. All airport employees must undergo a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) and a Security Threat Assessment (STA) to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge, as required by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Ability to maintain authorization to drive a County vehicle and adhere to the Drug‑Free Workplace Policy is required.
Must have good customer service skills, be able to provide solutions in a fast‑paced environment, whether independently or as part of a team, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
