You Are
A clear, thoughtful communicator who can translate complex benefits information into simple, accessible content. You’re comfortable working across HR, Total Rewards, and vendor partners, and you bring a strong eye for accuracy, clarity, and employee experience. You thrive in environments where messaging needs to be precise, compliant, and easy for employees and retirees to understand. Reports directly to the Manager of Benefits. You have experience in change management and guiding people through transition – whether it is a new system implementation, policy process, or initiative.
You Will
Develop clear, concise communications for health, welfare, retirement, and wellness programs across multiple channels (email, mailers, intranet, guides, FAQs, presentations, video, collaboration platforms) and lead execution from concept through delivery
Own benefits communication strategy for retiree‑focused materials, ensuring accuracy in Medicare‑related messaging, eligibility rules, and plan updates
Own benefits communication strategy for annual open enrollment, including timelines, messaging, and content development
Partner with Benefits, HRIS, legal and vendors to ensure all content aligns with plan documents, regulatory requirements, including ERISA, ACA, Medicare and HIPAA, and brand standards
Draft talking points, job aids, and toolkits for HR partners, managers, and call center teams. Anticipate questions and risks and proactively address them through targeted messaging
Maintain and update benefits webpages, portals, and Workday‑related content in partnership with HRIS and IT
Review vendor communications for clarity, accuracy, and tone
Support change management efforts for new programs, plan design changes, and system enhancements. Develop change management communication plans, stakeholder messaging and employee readiness materials for major initiatives
Define and track success metrics such as engagement metrics, enrollment, call center volume and employee feedback and use data to recommend improvements to communication strategy and delivery
You Bring
Experience in benefits communication, change management, employee communication, HR communications, or benefits administration with strong writing skills
Ability to translate complex benefits concepts (medical, dental, vision, retirement, Medicare, retiree plans) into clear, user‑friendly language
Strong writing, editing, and content‑organization skills with high attention to detail
Experience partnering with HR, Total Rewards, and external vendors
Familiarity with Benefits Administration systems and HRIS platforms. Workday is a plus
Familiarity with Salesforce and SharePoint. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver high‑quality content in a fast‑paced environment
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, HR, Marketing, or related field preferred
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Relations, or related field preferred. Masters degree in related field preferred
Residing in the Eastern and Central time zones
Compensation
The wage range for this position is $80,000-$95,000 per year. Actual compensation will be based on skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements and the location where you will are performing the job.
