Manager Outside Sales
The Manager Outside Sales position is responsible for leading, building and implementing collaborative business solutions for customers, foodservice channel operators, and distributors within a specific geography. The role engages cross‑functionally with internal sales, sales strategy and execution, customer planning and development, business development, marketing, operations, and pricing teams. It is accountable for volume growth and performance while embodying the RIGHT behaviors: Results, Innovate, Growth Mindset, Humility, and Team Work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Includes achieving sales volume, executing pricing strategies, managing product mix sold; being a self‑starter with the ability to influence key decision makers internally and externally; developing and maintaining relationships with customers and distributors; executing multiple business strategies; training and educating broker partner reps; being a steward of Tyson Foods Core Values & RIGHT Behaviors and taking responsibility for professional development.

Sales Excellence : Demonstrate outstanding selling, closing, and presentation skills; articulate the unique value proposition of Tyson products; plan, execute, and lead effective meetings to drive engagement; take ownership of customer accounts and drive growth initiatives; identify opportunities for new business development and strategic growth of existing accounts.

Relationship Building : Build strong customer relationships; collaborate effectively with internal teams to deliver solutions for the customer and business; utilize resources and partnerships to achieve goals; lead through influence.

Innovation : Drive innovation and creative solutions to meet the needs of the customer and business; proactively identify opportunities and solutions to expand market share or volume.

Product and Market Knowledge : Deep understanding of the product portfolio; awareness of market trends and the customer’s business & competitive landscape; ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Experience: Minimum 5 years outside sales experience with beef and/or pork experience required.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Special Skills: Strategic thinking, negotiation skills, conflict resolution skills; demonstrated agility, inquisitive and solution‑oriented mindset; ability to multi‑task.

Computer Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office products.

Travel: 15‑20%.
