Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic

Marketing Manager

in our Woodbridge, N.J. facility to lead and shape the marketing efforts for our utility programs and the company overall. The ideal candidate will develop and execute a comprehensive strategic marketing plan to enhance brand awareness, drive customer acquisition, and support revenue growth. This leadership role requires a creative thinker with strong management capabilities and a proven track record in marketing execution. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of aligning execution with business objectives, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients, executives, sales, and operational teams.

Essential Job Functions

Continuous Improvement & Reporting:

Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activities by sharing and tracking current market trends and research and using data‑driven insights to optimize strategies.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, vendors, and industry stakeholders to enhance marketing impact and drive program success. Create overall blueprint and drive the execution of client projects.

Collaboration & Cross‑Functional Alignment:

Work closely with sales, operations, and executive teams to ensure marketing initiatives align with business goals. Lead, mentor, and motivate a high‑performing marketing team.

RFP Oversight:

Prepare and deliver responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs) in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and adherence to client specifications.

Social media & Digital Presence:

Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns that engage and grow our internal and external audience base.

Strategic Planning & Execution:

Help develop and implement marketing strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring measurable growth in brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue.

Brand Development & Messaging:

Oversee and refine TSE brand positioning and messaging to ensure consistency across all channels including digital, print, and social media platforms. Craft compelling narratives that resonate with target audiences.

Team Management:

Manage marketing vendors.

Budget Management:

Structure and manage the company marketing budget with a focus on resource allocation to maximize ROI and ensure campaigns are executed within budgetary constraints. Provide regular budget forecasts and adjust strategies as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Minimum of 4‑8 years of experience in marketing, with at least 2 years in a lead role.

Experience with RFPs, brand management, social media, digital marketing, and content marketing.

Strong ability to manage marketing projects, personnel, and vendors to drive marketing messaging.

Awareness of market trends, lighting, construction, and contracting best practices.

Experience with energy, sustainability, engineering, construction, and utility programs desired.

Ability to self‑manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deliverables.

Outstanding written and verbal communication, active listening, presentation, editing, and interpersonal skills.

Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment with multiple concurrent deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat/Reader, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.

Must reside in New Jersey.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of marketing in an engineering, contracting, or professional services firm is a plus.

Required knowledge of marketing processes and tools.

Ability to review requirements, costs, and existing tools to provide recommendations to the executive team and drive solutions.

Being open to feedback and continuous improvement.

Proven ability to manage budgets and deliver results within set timelines.

Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and strong analytical skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Provide clarity in complex problems, facilitate decision‑making, and guide marketing investments.

Knowledge of marketing processes and tools relevant to engineering, construction, or professional services firms is a plus.

Strong understanding of market trends, customer needs, and industry‑specific best practices (e.g., lighting, construction, sustainability).

Physical Demands of the Job

Occasionally required to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; use hands to finger, grasp, or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; push or pull; talk and hear; use repetitive motions.

Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds; occasionally up to 25 pounds.

Must have visual acuity to prepare and analyze data and figures, transcribe, view a computer terminal, and perform extensive reading and visual inspections of marketing materials.

Subject to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions.
