Job Summary
The Senior Account Coordinator is a strategic member of the client service team, contributing directly to the planning, execution, and evaluation of communications, marketing, and public relations programs. In this role, you will manage projects end-to-end, develop content that advances client goals, and make recommendations that support program strategy and business outcomes. This role requires independent judgment, proactive decision‑making, and the ability to prioritize work based on deadlines, impact, and client expectations. You will operate as a key point of contact for project stakeholders and will be accountable for delivering high‑quality work that aligns with Kane’s standards.

Accountabilities
Before applying, ensure this is the right seat for you on our team. At Kane, the Senior Account Coordinator is accountable for the following:

Client Strategy & Support

Serve as a day‑to‑day contact for assigned projects and clients.

Participate in strategic planning sessions with senior advisors.

Contribute recommendations on messaging, media outreach, content planning, and marketing tactics.

Lead assigned elements of client programs, including project coordination, content development, and reporting.

Content Development & Editing

Write and edit materials that require independent judgment, including:

Media pitches, fact sheets, press releases

Digital content, blog articles, web content

Social media strategies and posts

Internal communications and executive presentations

Apply AP Style and brand standards consistently across all materials.

Project Ownership

Independently manage multiple complex projects, determining priorities, schedules, and workflows.

Work with creative and vendor partners and make recommendations regarding scope, timing, and deliverables.

Ensure all stakeholders are aligned and deadlines are met.

Media & Influencer Relations

Develop media outreach recommendations based on editorial calendars, trends, coverage opportunities, and client goals.

Build and maintain media lists; draft customized pitches and follow‑up plans.

Provide counsel to internal team on positioning and story opportunities.

Analytics & Reporting

Monitor results and performance metrics that inform strategy:

Media coverage

Digital engagement

Social analytics

Campaign performance

Develop summary reports and insights that support recommendations for ongoing improvement.

Decision‑Making Authority

Prioritizing and sequencing work based on impact

Recommending tactical approaches and content topics

Coordinating vendor activities and approving adjustments

Determining what information requires escalation vs. direct handling

Drafting and editing content without supervision

Job Qualifications
Required experience and core competencies for this position include:

Four‑year degree in communications, marketing, advertising, or public relations

Minimum of one year of relevant agency or corporate communications experience

Proven ability to manage complex projects with competing priorities

Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills

Experience with:

Media monitoring tools

Website CMS

Social media management

Project management platforms

Digital analytics

$50,000 - $65,000 salary range
