Strategic Communications Specialist, Senior
Key to an organization's growth is strong stakeholder communication that represents and supports its mission, values, and objectives. As a communications professional, you will inform and engage key audiences and promote the organization's reputation. We are looking for an experienced communications specialist who is ready to share knowledge and mission every day, using consulting skills to design, develop, produce, and consult on various internal and external communication materials.
As a Strategic Communications Specialist you will develop creative solutions to complex problems, author news articles, leadership messages, talking points, briefings, fact sheets, social media and website content, and plan and facilitate engagements such as town halls, meetings, and demonstrations.
You Have:
5+ years of experience providing communications support, including news articles, leadership messages, talking points, briefings, fact sheets, social media and website content
Experience using Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Knowledge of innovative strategies to inspire and progress key strategic communications goals
Knowledge of AP style
Ability to work with a team and independently in a fast‑paced environment
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, or English
Nice If You Have:
Experience working with Department of War strategic communications or public affairs
Knowledge of graphic design and creative software tools
Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent data gathering and analysis skills
Master's degree

Compensation
Salary range: $77,600.00 – $176,000.00 annualized USD. Posting will close within 90 days from posting date.
