Position Summary
C&C Marine & Repair is seeking a creative, strategic, and proactive Marketing Manager to lead the company's marketing efforts and elevate its brand presence across the inland marine industry. This role is ideal for an experienced marketing professional who thrives at the intersection of storytelling, content creation, public relations, and event execution in a fast‑paced, hands‑on industrial environment.

The right candidate will own the C&C story — drafting press releases that position the company as an industry leader, planning high‑impact events that strengthen customer and community relationships, managing the company's social media presence, and personally capturing and editing the photo and video content that brings the shipyard to life.

Key Responsibilities
Public Relations & Communications

Write, edit, and distribute press releases announcing new contracts, vessel deliveries, company milestones, leadership news, and industry achievements

Build and maintain relationships with trade publications, industry journalists, and maritime media outlets

Draft executive communications, internal announcements, and company statements

Develop messaging that reinforces C&C's positioning as a leader in the inland marine industry

Support recruiting communications and employer brand storytelling

Event Planning & Coordination

Plan, organize, and execute company events including vessel christenings, ribbon cuttings, customer visits, employee appreciation events, and industry trade shows

Manage event logistics including vendors, venues, catering, signage, invitations, and on‑site coordination

Represent C&C at industry conferences and networking events

Coordinate special visits from customers, partners, government officials, and media

Develop event budgets and track ROI on marketing initiatives

Social Media Management

Manage and grow C&C's social media presence across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X

Develop and execute the social media content calendar, including weekly planning, scheduling, and publishing

Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all channels

Track performance metrics and adjust strategy to improve engagement, reach, and follower growth

Manage paid social advertising campaigns and promotional initiatives

Engage with followers, partners, and industry accounts to build community

Content Capture & Editing

Capture professional photos and videos of vessels, projects, employees, and shipyard activity

Edit short‑form videos, reels, and promotional clips for social media and marketing use

Produce longer‑form video content for the company website, recruiting, and customer presentations

Create graphics, branded materials, and marketing collateral using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools

Maintain an organized library of photo and video assets

Direct outside photographers or videographers when larger productions are needed

Qualifications

3+ years of marketing experience, with demonstrated ownership of social media, communications, or content programs

Proven track record writing press releases and securing media coverage

Experience planning and executing professional events of varying scale

Strong photography and videography skills, including familiarity with DSLR/mirrorless cameras and mobile capture

Advanced video and photo editing skills (Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, Photoshop, or comparable tools)

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and social media management platforms

Experience managing paid digital advertising campaigns

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to brand voice

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders

Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, industrial environment and willing to get out on the shipyard to capture content

Professional and confident interacting with executives, customers, employees, media, and external partners

Preferred Skills

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field

Existing relationships with maritime, manufacturing, or trade publication media

Experience managing a marketing budget

Background in construction, industrial, manufacturing, or maritime industries

Familiarity with email marketing platforms, website CMS tools, and basic analytics

Experience leading or mentoring junior marketing or content staff
