A client in the talent and entertainment space is seeking a high-visibility AV/Collaboration Technician to provide hands‑on support in their New York office for executive-level meetings, live conferencing, and in-person events. This role is critical to ensuring meetings run smoothly across offices, with heavy interaction with executives, assistants, clients, and external presenters. The ideal candidate is polished, proactive, and technically confident in enterprise AV environments.
Required Qualifications
2+ years of AV or conference technology experience in enterprise environments
Hands‑on experience supporting meetings for executives and senior stakeholders
Strong working knowledge of:
Cisco Room Kits & Cisco Bars (big plus)
Poly, Cisco, Webex, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams
Understanding of AV signal flow and room systems (e.g., HDMI routing, point‑to‑point controls, hardwired setups)
Experience supporting large‑scale or high‑visibility meetings
Key Responsibilities
Provide onsite support for in‑person meetings, live conferencing, and executive presentations
Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot AV systems for ad hoc meetings, weekly forums, and large‑scale events
Assist agents, executives, clients, and external presenters with meeting setup and presentation needs
Remain in conference rooms during critical meetings as needed to support presentations, microphones, and conferencing tools
Coordinate with remote AV technicians and ensure all systems and participants are functioning properly
Proactively ensure presentations run smoothly from start to finish
Manage and adjust conference room calendars in partnership with executive assistants
Monitor and respond to meeting‑related requests via email and ticketing system
Track upcoming meetings and proactively prepare rooms, technology, and setup needs
Update calendars, manage room reservations, and assist with scheduling changes
Serve as a reliable backup AV contact when primary technicians are out of office
Compensation
$30 to 40/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
