Director of Performance Improvement (Hospital Setting)
Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility)
A growing, 144-bed behavioral health facility – Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24-hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. Metropolitan provides a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy.
The Director of Performance Improvement (DPI) has broad responsibility to ensure the hospital’s compliance at all times with all Joint Commission, CMS, and state regulatory agencies standards and requirements. The DPI is responsible for staff training and education on the hospital’s performance initiatives and measures including outcomes measurement and reporting. The DPI works with leadership and all staff to ensure survey readiness at all times.

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, or related health field is required. Master’s Degree preferred. Combination of education and experience will be considered.
Experience:
Four (4) years of experience in quality and risk management/improving organizational performance within an acute medical or psychiatric treatment setting.
Additional Requirements:
A strong knowledge of Joint Commission, State of Michigan standards, CMS standards, and any other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.
