We are now expanding aggressively into Northern California and are hiring the first Account Executive who will help build the foundation of our NorCal lending team.
Account Executive – Northern California
ZINC Financial is seeking a high-performing Account Executive with direct experience in private money, hard money, or business-purpose lending. The ideal candidate is currently producing $3MM+ per month in business-purpose loan volume and has an active book of business consisting of real estate investors, brokers, developers, builders, referral partners, and/or investment groups.
This individual will be responsible for growing ZINC Financial’s loan volume across Northern California, with a primary focus on markets such as Sacramento, the Bay Area, San Francisco, San Jose, Stockton, Modesto, Fresno, and surrounding investor-heavy regions.
The right person will know how to generate business, work a pipeline, structure deals, build trust with investors, and represent ZINC Financial in the field at REI events, investor meetups, networking groups, broker meetings, and local real estate investment communities.
This is the first of four strategic Account Executive hires for our Northern California expansion. The person hired into this role will have the opportunity to become a key part of ZINC’s NorCal growth story.
What You Will Do
As an Account Executive, you will own loan production across your assigned Northern California territory. You will be responsible for developing relationships, originating business-purpose loans, managing your pipeline, and helping ZINC Financial become a recognized lending brand in the NorCal investor community.
Core Responsibilities
Originate business-purpose loans across ZINC Financial’s core programs, including:
Fix & Flip loans
DSCR / Rental loans
Other investor-focused private money lending products
Generate and manage monthly loan volume with a minimum expectation of $3MM+ per month in production , with a clear path toward significantly higher volume.
Leverage your existing book of business to bring immediate lending opportunities to ZINC Financial.
Build new relationships with real estate investors, brokers, builders, developers, wholesalers, agents, and referral partners throughout Northern California.
Attend local REI events, investor meetups, real estate networking groups, and market-specific gatherings to create brand awareness for ZINC Financial.
Represent ZINC Financial professionally in the field as a trusted capital partner for real estate investors.
Work hot leads provided by ZINC Financial and convert them into qualified applications, funded loans, and long-term client relationships.
Manage your pipeline with discipline using HubSpot, GoHighLevel, and internal sales systems.
Structure loans based on borrower needs, property strategy, leverage requirements, exit plan, and ZINC’s loan programs.
Partner closely with internal processing, underwriting, funding, marketing, and leadership teams to move deals efficiently from application to close.
Maintain consistent communication with borrowers, brokers, and referral partners throughout the loan process.
Provide market feedback to leadership regarding pricing, competition, borrower demand, investor activity, and local opportunities.
Help establish ZINC Financial’s Northern California presence by creating momentum, visibility, and credibility in the market.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a proven producer. Someone who does not need to be taught what DSCR, LTC, ARV, rehab budgets, exit strategy, bridge capital, or investor lending means.
You should already understand how private money lending works and be comfortable speaking with experienced real estate investors about deal structure, leverage, rate, points, draw schedules, valuation, rental income, construction timelines, and speed to close.
Required Qualifications
Direct experience in private money lending, hard money lending, business-purpose lending, non-QM investor lending, or a closely related real estate lending vertical.
Current production of $3MM+ per month in business-purpose loan volume .
Active book of business in Northern California or strong transferable relationships with investors, brokers, builders, developers, or referral partners.
Strong understanding of Fix & Flip, DSCR, Ground-Up Construction, and Stabilized Bridge loan products.
Ability to structure loan scenarios and communicate lending terms clearly to borrowers and referral partners.
Comfortable working remotely while maintaining high accountability, consistent activity, and measurable production.
Strong CRM discipline and ability to manage leads, pipeline, follow-up, and deal flow with accuracy.
Willingness to attend local real estate investor events, REI meetups, networking groups, and market-building activities.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Competitive, entrepreneurial, highly responsive, and production-driven.
Located anywhere in Northern California, including but not limited to Sacramento, San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, Walnut Creek, Stockton, Modesto, Fresno, Roseville, Chico, Redding, or surrounding markets.
Preferred Experience
Existing relationships with active real estate investors in Northern California.
Prior experience originating loans for a direct private money lender.
Familiarity with HubSpot, Liquid Logics NOVA, GoHighLevel, or similar CRM / LOS / marketing automation platforms.
Experience attending or sponsoring REI events, investor meetups, broker events, or local real estate investment groups.
Proven track record of building a lending territory or growing market share in a competitive region.
Strong understanding of local NorCal investor markets, including Sacramento, the Bay Area, Central Valley, and surrounding growth corridors.

Compensation
ZINC Financial offers a competitive compensation structure designed for experienced producers, including a monthly draw and aggressive commission plan tied to funded loan volume and fee income. This is a Tiered structure that hits 35% of fee income based on production.
Compensation will be discussed based on experience, current production, book of business, and ability to generate immediate volume.
