ASSOCIATE NEWS PRODUCER (P/T) - KAIT

Job Summary
Are you looking to get your foot in the door at a dominant, award-winning television station? KAIT-TV is looking for a creative, innovative team player to support our newscasts. We are looking for a part-time associate producer. The ideal candidate will have a love for all things news and a desire to grow and excel in the media business.

Duties / Responsibilities

Write and edit news stories under deadline

Produce content for kait8.com, Region 8 News app, Region 8 Weather app

Follow the strategic plan for the newsroom

Assist with producing newscasts

Must have excellent people skills to deal with a wide range of staff members and experience levels

Weekend and holiday work required

Qualifications / Requirements

College degree preferred

Strong writing and organizational skills

Enjoy a fast-paced environment

Prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
