Managing Partner

A well-established law firm is seeking a seasoned Managing Partner to help build and lead its national civil litigation practice. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced litigator or practice leader who is looking to move beyond a traditional law firm structure and play a key role in shaping the future of a high-growth organization.
This role will partner closely with executive leadership to drive litigation strategy, expand into new markets, build high-performing legal teams, and support long-term growth initiatives and acquisitions. The ideal candidate is both a strong trial attorney and an entrepreneurial leader who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead strategy and oversight for a growing portfolio of complex civil litigation matters across multiple jurisdictions
Build, mentor, and manage teams of attorneys and legal professionals to support national growth initiatives
Develop and implement litigation processes, operational standards, KPIs, and risk management protocols
Supervise and advise on high-exposure cases from intake through trial or resolution
Partner with executive leadership on growth strategy, market expansion, and integration of acquired practices
Foster relationships with referral partners, co-counsel, and industry stakeholders to strengthen market presence and business development efforts
Support the development of a scalable, high-performing litigation platform focused on operational excellence and client outcomes
Qualifications
15+ years of civil litigation experience, including significant trial and case management exposure
Prior experience in a leadership role such as Managing Partner, Practice Group Leader, or Senior Litigation Counsel
Strong business acumen with the ability to make strategic decisions related to firm growth, staffing, and risk management
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment
Demonstrated success mentoring attorneys and developing high-performing legal teams
JD from an accredited law school and active Arizona bar admission (or ability to obtain promptly)
Additional state bar admissions are a plus
Portable book of business welcomed but not required
Compensation and Benefits:
$250,000 - $320,000+ (based on experience)
Discretionary bonus (based on performance)
