Role Overview
Hearst Newspapers is searching for a dynamic Strategic Account Executive to maximize digital and print sales revenue. You will sell strategic advertising solutions to current and new advertisers, helping their businesses grow by leveraging our media product suite, traffic, and digital data to reach their target audience. This position involves managing a full sales cycle: prospecting, leading presentations, creating proposals, closing business opportunities, and managing post‑sales campaign results.
What will you do?
Drive Success with Innovative Tools: Utilize our AI‑powered software to enhance every stage of the sales cycle, from prospecting and planning to presenting and closing deals.
Sales Goals: Exceed sales activity, pipeline, and revenue goals on a monthly basis.
Lead Generation: Call on medium to large businesses to show the value of our suite of advertising products. Generate new leads through cold calling, email marketing, networking, and staying aware of new business openings.
Pipeline Management: Continually build a pipeline of new business and upsell opportunities.
Product Expertise: Become an expert on our digital and print products/services.
Client Interaction: Conduct discovery calls and presentations with prospects and customers.
Client Solutions: Recommend new products and promotional opportunities to current clients and handle objections efficiently.
Forecasting: Manage client pipeline and monthly revenue forecast in Salesforce.com.
Advertising Solutions: Create engaging advertising solutions to solve clients’ business needs.

What we’re looking for
Education: BA/BS degree in Advertising, Marketing, or Communications a plus or equivalent experience.
Experience: 2+ years of business‑to‑business outside sales in advertising or media, with a proven success in new business acquisition and exceeding revenue goals.
Skills: Superior presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills. Technically savvy with experience in Salesforce, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Mindset: Goal‑oriented, competitive, and forward‑thinking with strong business and financial acumen.
