Account Executive – Media Sales (Hudson, WI + Surrounding Areas)

O’Rourke Media Group is seeking to hire a driven Account Executive to sell across a portfolio of trusted local news brands and a full suite of digital marketing solutions.
You’ll represent established community publications including:
Hudson Star Observer
River Falls Journal
Cannon Falls Beacon
Hastings Star Gazette
Red Wing Republican Eagle
These publications are deeply rooted in their communities, giving you immediate credibility and access to decision-makers. Combined with our digital capabilities, you’ll offer businesses a complete marketing solution designed to drive awareness, leads, and long-term growth.
What You’ll Do
Build and manage a local sales territory in Hudson and surrounding areas
Prospect and develop new business through calls, networking, and in-person meetings
Conduct discovery conversations to uncover marketing needs
Present integrated marketing solutions (print + digital)
Close new business and generate recurring monthly revenue
Maintain and grow client relationships
What You’ll Sell
You’ll sell a combination of print, digital, and targeted advertising to businesses of all sizes.
In addition to our owned and operated local platforms, we are a Google certified agency specializing in targeted display ads, search engine optimization, social media advertising (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube), geo-fencing, streaming, website development, and reputation management.

Preferred Qualifications
Sales experience (B2B, media, or digital marketing is ideal)
Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
Strong understanding of consultative selling and client needs analysis
Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
Consistent tenure and progression within previous organizations
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales tracking tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with strong time management and follow-up skills
